Barge Drill

Our specialized barge drill is purpose-built for over-water operations, with a depth capability of 700 meters BTW. This equipment has proven its reliability in projects like a 10,000-meter drilling contract in Gogama, Ontario. The barge is equipped with sludge collection systems (e.g., Cyclone or sausage) to manage drill cuttings and fluids, ensuring minimal environmental impact in sensitive aquatic ecosystems while maintaining high-quality core recovery.

Helicopter-Portable Drills

For remote and hard-to-access locations, we deploy helicopter-portable drills with a depth capability of 600 meters NQ. These lightweight yet powerful rigs are designed for rapid deployment in rugged terrains, ensuring we can reach even the most isolated sites without compromising on performance. They are equipped with wireline tools and non-toxic drilling additives, supporting sustainable operations in environmentally sensitive areas.

Skid-Mounted Drills

Our skid-mounted drills offer a depth capability of 600 meters NQ, perfect for a variety of exploration projects. These rigs are highly versatile enabling us to dril to depths of 600m with consistent core delivery and detailed reporting.

Excavator for Trail Building and Outcrop Stripping

We utilize a heavy-duty excavator for trail building and outcrop stripping, ensuring efficient site preparation with minimal environmental disturbance. This equipment is critical for creating access trails and clearing drill pads in remote forested areas, as seen in our northern Ontario projects. The excavator allows us to prepare sites sustainably, adhering to strict guidelines for tree clearing and land restoration.

Portable Camp for 10 Men

To support our crews in remote locations, we provide a fully equipped portable camp that can accommodate up to 10 men. This self-contained unit includes sleeping quarters, a kitchen, and sanitation facilities, ensuring our team remains comfortable and productive during extended projects. The camp is designed for easy transport and setup, making it an essential asset for operations in isolated areas, such as our 40,000-meter lithium exploration program in northwestern Ontario.

Water Supply Systems

Our water supply pumps and lines are capable of delivering adequate water over distances up to 1,000 meters, with a vertical lift of 25 meters, ensuring uninterrupted drilling operations. For projects requiring longer water lines, we provide additional metering at a fixed rate, as demonstrated in our northern Ontario projects.

Transportation and Logistics

We maintain a fleet of vehicles for transporting crews, equipment, and drill core between sites and camps. ATVs are excluded from our operations to meet specific safety standards, but we provide alternative vehicles to ensure smooth logistics. Our team also handles mobilization and demobilization, including the transport of rigs and accessories to and from remote sites.

Spill Kits and Environmental Protection

Every drill site is equipped with comprehensive spill kits to manage emergencies involving fuel, drill fluids, or other materials. We maintain an inventory of absorbent materials at each rig and water pump location, ensuring rapid response to any environmental incidents, as required by our environmental policies.

PPE and Safety Gear

All Chenier Drilling Services personnel are outfitted with industry-standard personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety laws.
